The Simpson County School District includes the following schools:
Magee Elementary School, Magee Middle School, and Magee High School; Mendenhall Elementary School, Mendenhall Junior High School, and Mendenhall High School; Simpson Central School (K-8), Pinola; Simpson County Achievement Center, Magee; and Simpson County Technical Center, Mendenhall.

Simpson County Academy
Simpson County Academy is an independent school that offers a Christian environment, college preparatory classes, a caring and professional staff, and successful athletic teams. Simpson County Academy is accredited at the highest level (AA) by the Mississippi Association of Independent Schools (MAIS) and by SACS. The school is located off Highway 49 at 124 Academy Circle, Mendenhall, Mississippi. The average enrollment is 600 students in grades K3-12.

Simpson County
Simpson County is proud to host a campus of Copiah-Lincoln Community College–the Simpson County Center. The campus, surrounded by pines, is located at 151 Co-Lin Drive off U. S. Highway 49 between Mendenhall and Magee adjacent to Simpson Legion Lake. The primary telephone number is 601.849.5140.
In August 2005, the newly-constructed facility opened for classes. Co-Lin offers programs in the areas of business, business office technology, health care studies, office technology, practical nursing, and technology. The $4.17 million facility includes classrooms, computer and science labs, a spacious library, and a bookstore. The building also houses faculty and administrative offices, a large multipurpose room, a conference room, a dining area and an admissions and business office suite. A recent enhancement to the campus is a walking trail.
